Role Overview

The Senior Power Platform Consultant role has responsibility for the delivery of all assigned solutions from estimation through to code, bug fixing and documentation while achieving targets for milestones, and any other measures linked to throughput as per a project’s methodology. The Senior Power Platform Consultant should take ownership of their solutions and products as well as perform reviews for team members, taking care to think about performance, security, and maintainability. The role is responsible for creation and estimate tasks as well as the writing of quality solutions to agreed standards. The role requires excellent collaboration and communications skills, as at OfficeLabs we work closely together as a delivery team to enable comprehensive results that can span SharePoint, Power Platform, Dynamics, Dataverse and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, business analysts, and end-users, to understand requirements and define product features and functionalities.
  • Utilise Microsoft’s Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Dynamics 365, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents, to design, develop, and customise innovative solutions and products that meet business needs.
  • Build and configure canvas apps, model-driven apps, automated workflows, reports, and dashboards using Power Platform tools, ensuring high quality and client satisfaction.
  • Implement integrations with external systems and data sources to enable seamless data exchange and enhance product functionality.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed solutions and products to ensure reliability, performance, and adherence to client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the delivery team when supplying end-to-end solutions that exceed customer expectations that are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide training and support to team members and clients on best practices for leveraging Power Platform capabilities to build scalable and sustainable products.
  • Stay informed about the latest updates and features of the Power Platform ecosystem and explore opportunities for innovation and improvement in product development processes.
  • Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to deliver product increments iteratively and adaptively.
  • Provide and review solution documentation for discovery’s, proposals, scopes of work, tenders, case studies, and technical handovers.
  • Build clean, maintainable, and well-documented solutions and products, following best practices and maintaining information security.
  • Effectively conduct Pre-Sales to help build successful client journeys with the objective of long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to empower clients to effectively use and manage Power Platform solutions, fostering user adoption and self-sufficiency.
  • Stay updated with Microsoft’s latest technologies, innovations, training, and qualifications.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience building and customising solutions using Microsoft Power Platform products.
  • Proficiency in building canvas apps, model-driven apps including Dynamics 365, automated workflows, reports, and dashboards using Power Platform tools.
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts and experience integrating Power Platform solutions with external systems and data sources.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate) are preferred but not required.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a desire to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Salary: circa £45,000.00 per annum (negotiable).
