OfficeLabs implemented a Microsoft Teams and SharePoint virtual learning experience that supported delegates from 24 different countries, with the goal of highlighting the customers global talent.


A world leading provider of audit, tax and consultancy services wanted to move their annual staff learning and challenge event to a virtual platform. The occasion brought the best and brightest from their Asia Pacific, Africa and MENA, Europe, Latin and North America regions to compete, learn, and build stronger relationships. The previous virtual event had been limited in functionality and our client wanted a solution that would enable their delegates to get the most from the competitive learning experience.

Solution: (built using SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Whiteboard and Yammer)

OfficeLabs built a platform from the ground up encompassing all that our clients Microsoft 365 environment had to offer, utilising SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Whiteboard, and Yammer. The platform enabled easy delegate access via Azure Active Directory, and group collaboration utilising Teams with tabs into regional content pages and resources. A SharePoint site was built to host all the event information, delegate profiles and guides on the tasks ahead, with Yammer feeds to enable a global conversation as the challenges unfolded. Yammer enabled multi-level communication channels and a virtual social experience, reaching focused audiences with polls, questions, praise and conversation threads building a deeper instant interaction between the delegates, many of whom were meeting for the first time. Delegates benefited from co-authoring functionality, targeted filtered content, whiteboards, and planner facilities all setup to enable a multifaceted grouped virtual space that supported them through the experience. OfficeLabs also provided 24 x 7 technical support as part of the roll out, and when the event was finished OfficeLabs presented a detailed analyses of how the platform had been utilised by the delegates, and a support roadmap to help improve future events.


OfficeLabs was able to supply a solution that utilised the clients existing Microsoft 365 environment, enabling a cohesive delegate experience enriched by the technology available at their fingertips.
